Welcome back this dance treasure! For many years this ground-breaking company's star shone brightly as it lit up major venues with some of the most beautiful and exceptionally-trained dancers around. After a five-year hiatus, the contemporary, boundary pushing ballet company reinvents itself, with the blessing of founder Arthur Mitchell and now under the guidance of Virginia Johnson, who was the company's lead dancer for 20 years. Its first tour will feature new works and Balanchine classics.This performance is part of the Dance Celebration Series, presented by Dance Affiliates and the Annenberg Center.
