Dallas Murder & Mayhem Tour - A Storyteller's Take On True Crime in Dallas
Artist and author Brad Ford Smith brings historic true crime stories and other long-past acts of "calamity and tragedy" to life in a special tour with local guides I See Dallas, from 7 to 10 p.m., June 13. The tour departs from Lakewood Growler, 6448 E Mockingbird Lane. Tickets are $100 and include a signed copy of "Where To Find A Ghost."
Smith, an expert in Dallas true crime history, discovered dark tales of Dallas's past while researching true crimes and strange mishaps for his 2025 book, Where to Find a Ghost (K.Co Press) which uses detailed pen-and-ink drawings to document sites of “calamity and tragedy” as they exist today.
This van tour, led by Smith, stops at up to eight sites documented in the book, and focuses on legends, behind-the-scenes information and little-known facts. Participants will come away with a new understanding of Dallas, and a new perspective on local sites with more to their stories.
