Curiosity to Careers - Don’t Just Think About Your Future,Test It! Suncoast ReMake Days event
Students Invited to Explore Careers Through Hands-On Experiences at Southern Technical College
Southern Technical College in Port Charlotte is hosting “Curiosity to Careers,” an interactive career exploration event designed specifically for high school juniors, seniors, and their families on April 23 from 4:00–8:00 PM.
Unlike traditional open houses, this event allows students to step directly into real-world career environments through hands-on simulations in programs such as Medical Assisting, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Assisting, HVAC, and Electrical Trades.
Local employers will also be onsite to share how these entry points can grow into long-term careers—reinforcing that students don’t need to have everything figured out to get started. “Everyone starts somewhere,” organizers shared. “These programs are designed with stackable opportunities, so students can grow, pivot, and build a future over time.”
The event is free and open to the community.
