The Artist Initiative for Revolution (AIR) and The Mayor’s Office of Equity and Inclusion Cabinet: Racial Justice will host its second annual Culture Nights Music Festival, featuring two more concerts: Friday, June 30th, in Mattapan and Friday, July 28th, in the Seaport District from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The upcoming Mattapan festival will take place in Mattapan Square Municipal Lot #14 at the corner of Cummins Highway and Fairway Street. All community members are invited to listen to live music, enjoy food, vendors, and network at the free events. The headliner is Doobie Powell, a Gospel music vocalist who has performed with The Clark Sisters, Tye Tribbett, and Kelly Price. Local artists Advaitha, Tricia Reed, Tolieth, Paul Willis, and Kay Wolf will also perform. The event is made possible with the support of the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Equity and Inclusion Cabinet, The Krupp Family Foundation, Red Bull, and Topo-Chico.
Culture Nights is a series of cultural events and a movement that aims to promote social change through expressive art and music. This series honors artistic voice, freedom, and the gateway to truth and experimentation in the pursuit of justice. Culture Nights provides a platform for artistry, individuality, and expressiveness.
