CROCHET : AMIGURUMI - CROCHET A MINI CACTUS - LEVEL 1
Required experience: Participant must have completed at least one crochet project recently, and must be comfortable with crocheting in turned rows.
Make your own adorable mini cactus from a rectangle! This two hour, hands-on workshop will cover some amigurumi basics, including stuffing, using safety eyes, working in the back loop only (BLO), and some basic seaming techniques to make our cactus 3D!
By the end of the workshop you will feel confident constructing a 3D item from a rectangle as well as using some basic amigurumi techniques.
Each participant will receive a kit with a crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch markers, mini terra cotta pot, and a surprise color of yarn. I will also provide video instructions for all steps so that you can recreate the project at home, as well as the printed pattern for the cactus.
This in-person class will take place at Monster, 1716 NW Market St., on April 28th starting at 6:30 PM.
