Reports around America’s ongoing loneliness problem from last year show that the epidemic affects 1 out of 2 American adults – half of adults living in the US are lonely. In Philadelphia alone, researchers have found there is a growing sense of loneliness in Philly’s young adult population, which has led to the rise in groups like Pitch-A-Friend and Club Connection. The epidemic has continued to worsen as the U.S. heads into another heated election with a recent poll by Myriad Genetics revealing that 40% of people feel anxious or depressed about the political climate in the US right now.
In response, Flash Pack has created a mobile space for people to bond and make meaningful connections with strangers during the month of October. The bus will be stopping Philadelphia from October 15-16 as part of a four-city tour, will be set up all day at Love Park on Tuesday, Oct 15th from 11AM- 7PM
