CRDA Executive Director to Address PR Council Sept. 24
Scheffler will review the impact this unique state agency has had on the
state and Atlantic City over the last 40 years. The luncheon, featuring a fall-themed menu, will run 11:45 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Horizon Ballroom, Resorts Hotel Atlantic City.
The only agency of its kind in the nation, CRDA facilitates economic and community
development in Atlantic City by leveraging its available assets and revenues with private
investment capital to support redevelopment projects throughout the city in addition to other
initiatives.

About Our Speaker: Eric Scheffler joined CRDA in April after 28 years in law enforcement, most recently serving two terms as Atlantic County Sheriff. Prior to that he was a member of the Atlantic City Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Hope Exists Foundation, demonstrating his passion for uplifting communities and addressing critical social issues. He is known for his commitment to the community and his significant contributions to public safety and public health. Throughout his career, Scheffler championed innovative approaches to community engagement, spearheading the creation of transformative outreach programs that targeted pressing societal challenges such as food insecurity, primary care access, substance abuse prevention, mental health support and veteran assistance. A graduate of Atlantic City High School, he earned an associate degree from Atlantic Cape Community College and a bachelor’s from Stockton University.
