Cozy Concert with Jake Shimabukuro and Hawaii Youth Symphony


Supporters of music education access are invited to get in the groove with Hawaii Youth Symphony (HYS) and friends at a cozy concert at Lewers Lounge —featuring HYS Jazz students, HYS alumni musicians, and special guest and ukulele virtuoso, Jake Shimabukuro. The intimate benefit concert held at Halekulani Hotel's celebrated Lewers Lounge will present a dazzling evening of music, with proceeds to advance the work of nonprofit HYS and its Pacific Music Institute summer intensive. The space-limited Sunday, March 24 event will be in full swing with elevated pupu and crafted cocktail and beverage selections additionally included with concert admission. Tickets to HYS Live at Lewers are available only through Hawaii Youth Symphony by visiting www.hiyouthsymphony.org, and are priced at $350 – $450 each.The March 24 fundraising fete arrives perfectly timed to help usher in spring and to kick off April’s various jazz inspired celebrations ahead—with Jazz Appreciation Month encouraging an appreciation for jazz music in people of all ages, and International Jazz Day promoting jazz’s rich roots and intercultural influence.
