Cowlesville Flea Market
COWLESVILLE — The Cowlesville Flea Market & Strawberry Social w/Crafters will take place on Sunday July 14th.
The event is slated for 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. rain or shine. This year marks its 40th consecutive year as one of Western New York’s longest-running and largest community-run annual flea markets.
There is much to see and everything is within walking distance, organizers said in a news release.
The organizers said that antiques, treasures, and trinkets can be found within the hamlet-wide yard sales. Approximately 25 to 35 crafters and vendors will also be set up at residential properties on Clinton Street.
Items will include. woodworking, beauty supplies, clothing, "Sugar Bush Armory", “Thom Thumb’s Nursery”, “Blissful Acres Soap”, "J&J Maple", “Roanchar Draft Horse Rescue”, Wyoming County SPCA, "Pink Cow", "716 Pool", Tupperware, fruit, vegetables, and crochet
The Historical Society will serve strawberry shortcakes while barbecue chicken and pork dinners will be available behind the Baptist church on Sargent Street. Organizers said the dinners generally sell out well before 2 p.m.
The Wyoming County SPCA will collect cat litter (clumping and non-clumping), cat paste food, and dry Purina dog and puppy food. They will also accept cash and other donations you may have.
Tickets for the St. John the Baptist Lawn Fete raffle will be sold again this year. The cost is $10 each or 3 for $20 with a grand prize of a Ferris 500S Zero Turn Mower 5902102, 52” Briggs & Stratton (MSRP $6949) sponsored by Alexander Equipment. A second place prize of a Cannondale Charge Comfort E-bike sponsored by Tom's Pro Bike (MSRP $1889) and a third place prize of a Pine Double Glider (MSRP $430) donated by Fox's Lawn Furniture, which will also have a stand at the flea market.
Cowlesville is located on Clinton St (Route 354) at Bullis Rd, near Marilla, Elma, Alden, Corfu, and Attica. Parking is available along Clinton as well as an abundance of parking back on the village streets.
Organizers are highly suggesting people visit the hamlet’s streets —Church, Sargent, and Urf — early to ensure they don’t miss out on the barbecue, and other attractions.
