Reach out via email to [email protected] or schedule online to visit at https://www.neptuneinjune.com/visit The Stairwell Space @ AmFab Building 1069 Connecticut Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, 06607 The Stairwell Space is located in the entrance foyer of the American Fabrics Artist Studios building at 1069 Connecticut Ave in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Parking is available in the adjacent parking lot. Our opening will coincide with the 18th-Annual Open Studios at AmFab, during Bridgeport Arts Trail! More info at https://amfabarts.com/events/2024/10/30/open-studios-2024 Corridor for Ghosts and Heralds includes painting, fiber work, large-scale and small-scale drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. The exhibition explores panoramic or cyclical visions of time, composite narratives, and tangled systems. Featuring work by Logan Bishop, Kaelynne Hernandez, Anya Kotler, Amanda Lechner, Anam Rani, Kelsey Skordal, and Katrina Slavik. A stairwell acts a dwelling in fractured time, where mid-step the body is suspended between destination and origin. It sits as a portal and architectural margin reserved for transience. With simultaneous views of where one has been and where one might go, the plural “now” collapse into a sedimentary cross-section. Each floor and step resembling the last, the vertical corridor causes slippage in one's perception of forward movement and stillness, or even regression. Like one’s sense of direction, cultural or personal objects once removed from their context become chameleonic ephemera. November 8: 10am - 5pm: Visit open studios throughout the American Fabrics Arts Building 6 - 8 pm: Opening reception for our exhibition at the Stairwell Space, also in the AmFab Building November 9: 10am - 5pm: Visit open studios throughout the American Fabrics Arts Building and stop by the Stairwell Space at any time to see Corridor for Ghosts and Heralds. ______________________ About the Exhibition Corridor for Ghosts and Heralds includes painting, fiber work, large-scale and small-scale drawing, printmaking, and sculpture.
