This month’s Sound Bath revolves around relaxing into the natural course of things. When we are relaxed, we are not in a state of resistance. We feel more at ease and things can come more easily to us. Being truly relaxed, our brain vibrates much slower than what typical day to day activity requires of us. In these slower states our nervous system “cools down” and literally regenerates - consequentially offering us a new point of view as our previous perspective has relaxed and therefore widened. The result is: We feel relieved. And, we might see, utilize, and understand things we have not even perceived before.
The magnetically calming effects of Iris playing a particular selection of her Tibetan Singing Bowls are perfectly designed to aid you in this process. Come…. cool and simply relax.
A Workhouse “Sound Bath” is where people come together for a pleasant and relaxing experience created through sound by a sound healing practitioner who is playing live a variety of specific instruments. After a brief introduction to sound in the beginning, the listeners will be "immersed" in soft sound vibrations lying on a mat or sitting on a chair. Guided by the sound healing practitioner, the listeners will have time to return from their journey and will have the opportunity to share their experience, if desired, at the end of the Sound Bath.
Each Sound Bath is uniquely created with a selection of instruments that could include Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, drums, bells, and harps as well as crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, or others. Come and experience the benefits of this sound immersion to deeply relax, lift, and rejuvenate your whole being on a Sunday afternoon!
Benefits of a SOUND BATH can include:
Calming of the nervous system
Inducing better sleep
Uplifting of mood
Increased ability to focus
Restoration and strengthening
An overall greater sense of well-being
Bring a mat, blanket, and pillow for your comfort; chairs are provided.
The Sound Baths are primarily designed for adults, and it is not recommended for children to attend. However, exceptions may be made for children aged 12 or older who can remain quiet for 60 minutes. To ensure the comfort of other attendees, parents may be requested to leave with their children in case of any disruptions.
Join the Sound Bath at Art of Movement, every 3rd Sunday.
