The contra at Glen Echo puts a modern spin on a New England traditional dance that dates back over 150 years. It's easy to learn. It involves some spinning around, so shoes with a smooth sole are best, and best not to drink alcohol beforehand. Caller: Michael Karcher The Fabulous Glen Echo Open Band is open to any and all musicians! We are between 12 and 40 players and pack a wall of sound! Check it out and maybe bring your instrument next time! We dance in a beautiful Art Deco 1920s ballroom-- the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park, always to live music.
