Check out the Community PC Clinic hosted by Gateway Technical College's student I.T. club (dig.IT). This event allows the students to give back to the community while honing the skills they will use in their future careers. This is a fundraiser is staffed by student volunteers. The money raised helps to pay for students to attend information technology events and compete at the national information technology collegiate conference.
It is hard to believe, but for just $20 donation you can have your PC/device tuned-up and cleaned!
Does your device need more serious attention? We can likely help you with that, too. Many members of the community have benefited from participating in past clinics. Computers will be accepted for refresh or repair on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached. Device owners will be called/texted when their device is ready for pickup.
Drop off your PC on Friday between 1pm and 8pm and pick it up later that day or Saturday (9-noon). We will text you when it is ready. If you need to upgrade to Windows 10 or 11, we can help with that, too.... provided your PC can support the upgrade. Let us check it out for you! Do you have computer questions? Stop by and we will try to get you answers.
We are easy to find. Simply drive to the lake side of Gateway Technical College. Turn in at the skatepark, then make a right at the stop sign. If you need assistance carrying your device, then walk in to let us know so that a student can help you.
