Community Gatherings in Douglas County to Launch America 250 – Colorado 150 Celebration Planning
Organized in coordination with the official America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission, housed at History Colorado, these events are designed to bring together individuals, organizations, civic leaders, and community groups interested in commemorating this shared milestone through collaborative celebration, reflection, and remembrance.
Participants will be introduced to the official Community Toolkit, which provides guidance on:
● Registering your event
● Using the America 250 – Colorado 150 logo
● Promoting activities throughout Douglas County and beyond
"This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to honor our past and shape how our communities remember and celebrate both our nation’s and our state’s rich histories," said event host Tyson Emborg. "Whether you’re a teacher, librarian, community leader, or local resident with an idea, you are welcome."
