Step back in time and experience living historians demonstrating life in Massachusetts circa 1775. Enjoy contradancing, cooking, weaving and blacksmithing. Children can engage in 18th century games, military drills and an opportunity to fire a cannon.
At 12:00 following a reading of the Declaration of Independence, the tolling of church bells, as well as a musket and cannon salute will herald the start of the Grande Parade. The air will be filled with the music that inspired the cause of liberty as 25 Fife & Drum corps from all over the Northeast process their way to the muster field where they will give individual performances throughout the afternoon featuring the Middlesex County Volunteers (pictured).
You may find the music captivating, but don't forget to stroll the craft booths along Merchant's Row and grab a bite to eat at the food court, before enjoying your favorite beverage at the Wayside 1716 Beer Garden overlooking the Faire grounds.
Ye good citizens should be aware that rumors abound that a contingent of the King's redcoats from Boston could disrupt our peaceful proceedings.
