August 11th, 1973 marks the birth of Hip-Hop, this was the night DJ Kool Herc threw his sister Cindy Campbell a back to school party in the Bronx at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue & he isolated the breaks with his turntables. Coke La Rock was at the party on the mic, rapping, rhyming, calling out names and more. Come listen to Coke's story and meet the father emcee.
