Coastal Virginia Craft Invitational - Exhibition Opening
The Suffolk Art Gallery presents the ‘Coastal Virginia Craft Invitational,’ opening at a free public reception on Saturday, September 20. You’re invited to discover the inspiring creations of 10 artists working in wood, metal, glass, clay, and fiber. Meet the artists and enjoy complimentary beverages and refreshments from 5 to 7 PM.
About the exhibition:
Over the last few decades Coastal Virginia has become a beacon in the world of craft. This fall, the Suffolk Art Gallery invites visitors to discover art by 10 creatives working in craft mediums in our region. Selected by a special exhibit advisory committee, these artists produce both conceptual and functional work, experiment with new methods, concepts, and materials, and give us insight into the future of craft.

The “Coastal Virginia Craft Invitational" will be on view at the Suffolk Art Gallery, 118 Bosley Ave., Suffolk, September 20 through October 18. Visitors of all ages are welcome and encouraged to visit. The Suffolk Art Gallery is free to the public and open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM, Sundays from 1 to 5 PM, and closed on Mondays.
