Clear the Shelters
SPCA Tampa Bay will waive adoption fees for all available pets on Sat., Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of its annual Clear the Shelters campaign.
Adoptions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will include dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, pocket pets, reptiles, birds and other adoptable animals. Animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
Throughout August, SPCA Tampa Bay is also waiving adoption fees for select pets, primarily animals that have been at the shelter the longest. On Aug. 29, adoption fees will be waived for all available animals.
The event will also feature food trucks and photo opportunities for attendees. Those planning to adopt should arrive prepared with a leash, collar or carrier for their new pet.
