Class: Vector Design Fundamentals in Affinity Software January 9th at the Innovation Hub [NLR]
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to transform fonts, photos, and more into stunning vector designs that can be brought to life in our makerspace using advanced tools like the CNC router, laser cutters, and engravers. This beginner class is your opportunity to learn how to create a vector image using the vector design software Affinity. Our instructor will also provide outlines for Inkscape and Illustrator. We can't wait for you to unlock your creativity and showcase your skills! Please bring your own laptop, if possible, to retain your settings.
In this hands-on class, you will learn:
✨What Vector Design is.
✨Why Vector is necessary for CNC, Screen Printing, and Laser Cutting.
✨How to use the basic interface of the Affinity vector design program.
✨How to create simple and complex shapes.
✨How to create paths and curves.
✨How to apply this knowledge to create a simple design in vector software.

Ages: 18+
Level: Beginner
Supplies: All materials included, but bring your own laptop if you can.
