Clarehouse, in partnership with Ok, So, invites the public to experience their Community Conversation Series: Ignite Compassion, an inspiring evening of live storytelling that celebrates the power of compassion, connection and our shared humanity. The event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6:00 p.m. at Northeastern State University Broken Arrow, bringing together community members for an unforgettable evening of authentic stories that encourage empathy, reflection and meaningful conversation. The evening will feature speakers from diverse backgrounds sharing their personal experiences of caregiving, grief, resilience, healing and connection. Through storytelling, the event aims to deepen understanding of the human experience, inspire meaningful dialogue, reduce fear surrounding death and dying and foster a more compassionate community. The evening will also include a community resource fair featuring local organizations that offer services and support related to caregiving, serious illness, grief, aging and wellness. Open 30 minutes before and after the program (6:30–8:00 p.m.), the vendor fair gives attendees the opportunity to connect with local experts, learn about available resources and engage more deeply with organizations committed to strengthening our community. As part of the event, Clarehouse is inviting members of the community to submit their own stories for consideration. Selected storytellers will receive coaching and support to prepare their presentations, ensuring an engaging and meaningful experience for both speakers and attendees. The submission deadline is Aug. 1. For event details, registration and storyteller applications, visit clarehouse.org/communityconversationseries. Clarehouse embraces death and dying as a normal part of life and provides, at no cost to guests and families, the support people need to make the most of every moment.
