Sisters with Transistors - Electronic Music's Unsung Heroines
Filmmaker Lisa Rovner follows the story of electronic music's female pioneers, composers who embraced machines and their liberating technologies to transform how we produce and listen to music today.
CinemaNiche
Launched in 2019 by a trio of passionate cinephiles - Jeff Roll, Shane Brown, and PJ Sykes - CinemaNiche aims to fill a void in Richmond's cultural landscape by showcasing captivating music documentaries. Their inaugural screening of "Where Does a Body End?" - a deep dive into the iconic band SWANS - at Black Iris garnered much buzz, but the global pandemic put their plans on hold.
Undeterred, CinemaNiche is back with renewed energy! Now partnering with the acclaimed Studio Two Three, they're excited to unveil their new logo on March 8th, marking a fresh chapter. CinemaNiche has plans to bring curated film gems to Richmond a few times a year, starting soon.
