Cincinnati Acceleration Academies Block Party
Cincinnati Acceleration Academies invites the community to join them Saturday, August 29, for a fun, free Block Party to celebrate the new school year and learn about their new tuition-free public community high school.
Cincinnati Acceleration Academies is designed for students who have fallen behind on credits or left school before graduating, helping them work toward an Ohio high school diploma. Students who may be struggling to balance school with work or family obligations or who have fallen behind on credits may benefit from this supportive, innovative alternative to the traditional high school model.
There will be free food, music, games, and giveaways at the Block Party. Guests can meet staff, tour the academy, and get a feel for what it’s like to be a student at this new high school. Anyone interested in learning more about the academy is welcome to attend, including prospective students, parents, guardians, and community members.

Barber Quinton Thompson from Loud Styles will provide fresh cuts for block party guests
The Urban League will give out backpacks
Kona Ice will be available for guests from 1-3 p.m.
