Before the fireworks begin around 8 p.m., stroll through the estate and chat with re-enactors from the First Virginia Regiment. The General and Lady Washington will also greet Mount Vernon’s holiday guests on-site. Watch colonial artisans demonstrate the 18th-century process of creating chocolate and visit with the camel Aladdin on the 12-acre field.
