Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at FPC, Unitarian Universalist
First Parish Church of Stow & Acton (FPC), Unitarian Universalist, will hold its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 9 p.m. The service will feature traditional carols and anthems, paired with poetry, readings and the age-old story of the birth of Jesus. Music will be provided by the FPC Adult Choir, under the direction of Chris Hossfeld; accompanist Trevor Berens; and guest musicians. The service will close with FPC’s traditional candle lighting and singing of “Silent Night.” All are welcome to arrive early at 8:45 p.m. for an extended prelude of Christmas music.
The service will take place both in person and virtually on Sunday, Dec. 24, at 9 p.m. (8:45 p.m. for the prelude). Masking is optional; a section of the sanctuary is reserved for those who wish to wear masks. To enter the virtual room, go to tinyurl.com/22-23fpc.
