Children's Choir Concert "Around the World in 16 Songs"

Get ready for an enchanting musical journey as the “Children's Voices of Southern Maryland" present their concert, "Around the World in 16 Songs." This heartwarming event will take place on December 2 at 6:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ, located at 4560 Padgett Rd, White Plains, MD. Children's Voices of Southern Maryland (CVSM), composed of talented young choristers, has been working diligently to bring you a delightful evening filled with melodies from various countries, including Japan, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, Sri Lanka, and many more. Each song will transport the audience to a different part of the world, showcasing the diversity of global music while celebrating the unity of young voices. This concert is focused on bringing the world together across nationalities, traditions, and languages. The Apprentice Choir has 24 choristers between the ages of 4 and 8, and the Concert Choir has 10 children between the ages of 9 and 12. All CVSM choristers come from throughout Charles County. One chorister says, “I've been practicing so much for this! It's gonna be super cool, and I hope lots of people come to hear us sing. We're gonna sing songs from everywhere!” In addition to choral music, our concert will feature ethnic dances, live drumming, and traditional foods. We believe "Around the World in 16 Songs" will be a memorable experience for all attendees! The choristers, under the guidance of dedicated directors, have poured their hearts and voices into this performance. Their hard work and dedication are sure to shine through, making this concert a memorable experience for all who attend. The parent of an Apprentice Chorister says, “It's amazing to see how much [my child] has grown in this choir. This concert is a culmination of hard work and passion, and as a parent, I’m excited to see [my child] shine on stage. December 2nd can't come soon enough!" This family-friendly event is open to the public, and no tickets are required for entry.
