Join us for the ChiFilmFest Party in the Round at NEWCITY as we kick off the 60th Annual Chicago International Film Festival! This vibrant celebration of cinema will take place in NEWCITY's plaza on Saturday October 19th and Sunday October 20th from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. featuring delicious food, live music, and entertainment for all to enjoy. The Chicago International Film Festival is the longest-running competitive film festival in North America. Each year, it showcases more than 150 films from over 50 countries, with many filmmakers in attendance. A true celebration of cinema, the Festival includes premieres, tributes to stars and directors, and red-carpet events. Although on-site seating is limited, there is plenty of space for blankets and chairs, so we welcome friends, families, and neighbors to join us for this community event. Registration for the ChiFilmFest Party required. Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table to receive a free raffle ticket! Raffle winners must be present to win and will be announced onsite at 5:45 pm and 8:45 pm. Eateries such as Earls, Nando’s PERi PERi, Tecalitlan, KINGS and Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea will offer food and select beverages for takeout. NEWCITY is an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago.
