Chicagoland Daylily Society Presentation by Hybridizer, Gus Guzinski
Gus Guzinski is a retired research chemist. He hybridizes daylilies, is a garden judge, a popular garden judge instructor, and he has written several science articles. His interests in hybridizing are weighted toward the genetics of color inheritance and the study of unusual genetic traits in daylilies, early bloom, foliage types, scape branching patterns, and other traits of interest. His display gardens are in Kalamazoo, MI, where peak bloom is the third week in July.
