Chicago Recorder Society Performance and Participatory Workshop
The Chicago Recorder Society, a chapter of the American Recorder Society, works to enhance the knowledge, appreciation, and playing of recorders and recorder music in the greater Chicago area. Our monthly meetings are typically held from 2 to 5 pm on the third Sunday, September through May, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 3857 N Kostner Ave, Chicago. Guests are always welcome and free to attend our meetings and playing sessions. This summer, the Chicago Recorder Society will present three performances and participatory workshops. We will perform a short set of classic and popular works, then invite the audience to join us in learning and playing. Bring your recorder (we’ll have extras, if you don’t have one)!
