Acclaimed chef and Hawaiʻi Island local boy Philip “Ippy” Aiona stops by Homegrown in Pearlridge to sign copies of his brand new cookbook Growing Up Hapa in Hawaiʻi. Beyond a collection of recipes, Chef Ippy shares about how his heritage—both Hawaiian and Italian—have shaped his journey: from growing up in Waimea to starring on “Food Network Star,” “BBQ Brawl,” “Alex vs America” and his own award-winning Hawai‘i-based series, “Eating Our Roots.”
