Chapel Concert Series: Pipes, Strings and a little bit of Brass!
The concert will feature the master organist, James H. Gladstone, performing on the IHM Casavant organ, as well as the MCCC College/Community Orchestra, conducted by Ann Felder. Additionally, Rivers End Brass will be adding their efforts to round out the mix. The concert is expected to last approximately 75 minutes.
The IHM Chapel Series will feature a performance each month, from October through April. The performances are generally classical in nature and often showcase local musicians. Upcoming performances this season include the community performance of Handel's Messiah, the John Tyner Chorale's performance of Lessons and Carols: A Festival of Church Choirs, the Eastern Michigan University Choirs, Instrumental Chamber Ensembles, and the Whiteford High School Choirs under the direction of Mr. Todd Schreiber. Admission is free and a free-will offering supports the series.
The IHM Chapel Concert Committee members include Catherine Brodie, Linda Delene, IHM Associate, Ann and Mark Felder, Joan Mumaw, IHM, Ellen Rinke, IHM, Kathleen Russeau, IHM Associate, and John Tyner.
