Chainsaw Carving & Art Forest Festival
13th Annual Chainsaw Carving & Art Forest Festival. . During the free event, all ages are invited to watch chainsaw artists create incredible sculptures from logs; join the bidding fun when all carvings go to a lively public auction.
Make a day of it...there are plenty of ways to enjoy the fresh air and fall weather.
Unique craft beer provided by Black Husky Brewing.
Food trucks, sweet treats, and soft drinks also available.
Stroll through the autumn forest guided by a Nature trivia trail, with plenty of facts for adults and for children.
Families can explore the Chickadee Trail, featuring the latest book on the story trail and an interactive natural playscape winding through the forest.
Kids Climb...a unique opportunity for your child to harness up and discover the tree canopy guided by professional arborists.
Browse an art fair featuring handmade, original works of art or crafts for sale.
Other activities include: adult and children’s craft activities, extensive silent auction, chainsaw raffle and the chainsaw carving auction. Try your hand at archery. Canoe and kayak rentals available to view the fall colors from the river.
9:00am – 2:00pm - Chainsaw carving demos, nature trivia trail, story trail, art fair, silent raffle, archery, canoe & kayak rentals, children’s and adult activities and crafts, food, beer and refreshments
10am-2pm – Kid’s Climb - The Wisconsin Arborist Association sends kids high up into the trees
2:15pm - CARVING AUCTION – all chainsaw carvings will go to a lively public auction. Join the bidding fun and take home a piece of original art! Be sure to stay for the auction - Bidding is exciting and 50% of the auction sales go directly to River Bend Nature Center to support environmental education programs and free trails.
