Celestial Lights

“Celestial Lights” illuminates the visceral connection we share with the cosmos. Image City Partner Dick Bennett invited Joe Altieri, Robert Crumrine, Mike Dorofy, Cindy El-Gaaly, Tom Knauss, Margy Meath, Martha Price, Sue Rossi, Patty Singer and partner Marie Costanza to join him in this themed exhibition of their celestial photographs. The collection manifests an ethereal journey through the nocturnal heavens, offering a profound narrative on the interplay of light and darkness, the vastness of the universe and the intimate moments when we pause to look at the night sky. It is a celebration of the natural world, an invitation to contemplation and a reminder of the fragile beauty that surrounds us. Though the term Celestial Lights may have an origin in the mystics and ancient beliefs; in this sense it stands for lights in the night sky such as the Aurora Borealis, the Milky Way, or an Eclipse of the sun. The exhibition captures the ethereal dance of light in the darkness, showcasing the beauty and grandeur of the night sky as it comes alive with a symphony of compositions that evoke a sense of wonder and awe. In addition, to the featured photographers, Michelle Turner is exhibiting her photography in the Neuberger Gallery. Steve Dent is in the first of three shows as a Visiting Artist. Guest Photographers include Neal Bourque and Julie Oldfield. Other Galley Partners, including Steve Levinson, Gil Maker, Don Menges, Luann Pero, Betsy Phillips, John Solberg and Sheridan Vincent; will also be exhibiting photos.
