Celebrating Women's Leadership
Join us for Celebrating Women's Leadership on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Table and Lain for an inspiring evening of connection, conversation, and recognition.
This special event brings together community members to honor women's achievements, celebrate the leaders who make a lasting impact, and recognize the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which secured women's right to vote in 1920.
The evening will feature Illinois State Senator Kimberly A. Lightford as she joins us to accept the inaugural Forest Park Vital Voices Award. This award recognizes Senator Lightford’s extraordinary leadership, advocacy, and decades-long commitment to creating opportunities and strengthening communities. Guests will have the opportunity to celebrate with Senator Lightford and honor her many contributions to our region.
Enjoy delicious food, meaningful conversations, and the chance to connect with community members while celebrating the women leaders who inspire us. Everyone is welcome, and we encourage people of all genders to join us for this special evening.

Proceeds from the event benefit Sarah’s Inn, a nonprofit serving Forest Park and surrounding West Suburban communities. For more than 45 years, Sarah’s Inn has provided emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, prevention education, and other critical services that help individuals and families affected by domestic violence build lives free from abuse.
