Wes Lewis is a saxophonist, composer, and PhD candidate in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at Yale. He performs with the Yale Jazz Ensemble, the collective Trance Macabre, and as a leader of his own group. Along with roots in straight-ahead and big band jazz, Wes’ compositions often take rhythmic and harmonic cues from R&B, pop, and neo soul.
