Casting for Recovery Presentation
Casting for Recovery is to enhance the lives of survivors and thrivers of breast cancer through wellness retreats that connect women to each other and nature using the therapeutic sport of fly fishing and providing oncology medical and psychosocial support, all at no cost to the participants. Susan Brooks, regional director, of Casting for Recovery, will speak on this program that has been in existence since 1996. It offers 60 retreats every year, serving over 800 women from all 50 states. The presentation will be held at the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Office, 2000 Quail Drive, Baton Rouge, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
