CASSANDRA ROACH ́E - BASSOON & BEER
Please join us at MetroNOME Brewery for an evening combining everybody's two favorite B's: BASSOON and BEER!
Cassandra Roaché (bassoon) will be performing works by all living composers, the majority female, alongside Daniel Eras (piano), Alyssa Jermiason (oboe), and Simon Plum (clarinet). You can expect to hear a variety of music including a newly commissioned work, chamber music, a brief melodica moment, fixed media, and more!
Doors open at 7:00pm. Performance starts at 7:30pm.
Student tickets are $10. General admission is $15.

Cassandra Roaché is a bassoonist whose work centers on chamber music, new music advocacy, and education. She maintains a special interest in performing music with unique instrumentation, working with living composers, and commissioning music for the bassoon. She is a founding member of the Honk and Bonk! bassoon and percussion duo and also appears regularly with Minnesota-based chamber groups such as Lady Band Chamber Winds. Passionate about education, Cassandra has been described as possessing “the rare balance of excellence in both performing and teaching.” She has had successful middle and high school private bassoon studios in Georgia, Texas, and Minnesota.
Cassandra holds a master’s degree from the University of Georgia, where she studied with Dr. Amy Pollard, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, where she studied with Kathleen Reynolds and Dr. Jorge Cruz. She also studied with Bonnie Sherman in Dayton, Ohio.
Cassandra currently lives in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, where she works as a bassoon specialist with Midwest Musical Imports. In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys cooking, weightlifting, and playing video games.
