Carmelita y Cuatro Amigos
The Hal Marcus Gallery and the Sunset Parlor will host the upcoming art exhibit and opening reception for ‘Carmelita y Cuatro Amigos’ on Saturday, Feb. 24.
12 – 8 pm Open House includes Tours of Hal Marcus Gallery, Hal’s Studio, and Sunset Parlor.
5 – 8 pm Reception at Sunset Parlor, 1307 N. Oregon, with slideshow, commentary, & music by DaliMata
The exhibit will include works by Carmen Navar, Francisco Romero, Mauricio Mora, Daniel Padilla, and Hal Marcus. Over 100 works of art will be on display.
The Cuatro Amigos have been exhibiting together at the Hal Marcus Gallery for 25 years. They inspire each other with figurative works influenced by the Mexican modern masters. Their art has become synonymous with our border culture.
Carmen Navar shines a bright light on the art scene. Her work has mystical, thought provoking, colorful, and spiritual qualities. Recently Carmen received her advanced degree in multi-disciplinary arts & drawing from UTEP.
