Canoe Adventure
From the organizers:
The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition welcomes you to experience the scenic Summit Lake in Akron by canoe! Travel along 2 miles of the lake, and the historic Ohio & Erie Canal, to enjoy the view and learn a bit of history along the way.
Registration is $35 for adults (ages 16+) and $15 for youth (ages 6 to 15). Children under the age of 6 are not permitted to participate. Your ticket to Canoe Adventure includes:
• All equipment (canoes, life jackets, and paddles)
• Morning snacks
• Swag bag
• Deli-style lunch at the end of the trip
Registration is required in advance and can be completed at ohioeriecanal.org/canoe-adventure or by calling 330-374-5657. Groups will depart at 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., with trips lasting approximately 2 hours. For questions, contact Meri Skiera at [email protected].
No walk-up registrations are permitted. 2-person and 3-person canoes are available on a first come, first served basis for registrants. Solo riders will be paired with other individuals or a guide, if needed. Parking is available at the Reach Opportunity Center (390 W. Crosier Street) or Summit Lake Community Center (380 W. Crosier Street), with check-in located at the Summit Lake Park Pavilion.
This event is supported by the Akron RubberDucks, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, and Veterans Services Commission of Summit County.
