Join us for a unique panel discussion alongside the opening of The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century and dive into the thrilling worlds of music and art collecting. Our dynamic panel features Jason Rawls, EdD, of The Ohio State University and guest curator of The Culture; Cindy Amnéus, PhD, Chief Curator and Curator of Fashion Arts and Textiles at the Cincinnati Art Museum; and Billy Carter, owner of Cincinnati’s Shake It Records!
Discover the parallels between digging for rare music and uncovering one-of-a-kind artworks. Through lively discussion and short musical interludes, explore the shared passion, process, and creativity behind these two art forms. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply curious, we hope you enjoy this evening of beats, brushes, and boundless inspiration.
*Please note: Museum lectures will take place in Gallery 105 during the renovation of the lower level.
