Call for Submissions: Wesley Chapel Theater Group One Act Festival

The Wesley Chapel Theater Group is now accepting submissions for the Wesley Chapel Theater Group One Act Festival, scheduled for July 2025. Selected plays will be chosen by our play reading committee. The submission deadline is March 1, 2025, and there is no fee to submit. All submissions should be sent via email to [email protected]. Submission Guidelines: • All genres are accepted. • Playwrights must reside in the Tampa Bay area. • Only ONE submission per playwright, whether solo or with collaborators. • Plays must be in PDF format, running 10-20 minutes in length. • Submissions should include a cover page with the play’s title and the playwright’s contact information (address, email, phone number). • Plays should require no more than 8 actors. There are no age restrictions for actors. • Plays should have minimal set requirements and preferably one scene. • Selected playwrights are encouraged to participate in the production (e.g., direct, assist with production, stage manage, or audition). However, if you are involved in the show as an actor, you cannot direct. • Participation is not required for your play to be selected. • If selected, playwrights must provide a short bio and headshot. • You must also agree to allow the play to be recorded for archival purposes and produced without royalties. • Playwrights must be at least 16 years old.
