California Check-up: 2023 Philanthropic and Tax Planning Symposium
Selvi Stanislaus, Executive Officer of the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB), will serve as keynote of the 2023 California Check-up: Philanthropic and Tax Planning Symposium! As FTB’s fourth executive officer and the first woman to hold the post, Selvi oversees the second-largest tax department in the nation, with more than 6,000 employees. Her keynote will address the current state of taxes in California including insights on new tax laws, residency and new tax credits.
Attendees will learn:
• Insights on tax elections available to a fiduciary when filing a decedent’s final income tax return
• Tips on planning during an economic downturn
• Property, income and estate tax considerations related to real property transfers and how they should be factored into estate plans
Pricing
• General Individual Registration by October 18: $250
• Non-profit rate: $100
• Group rate (for for-profits) for 3 or more attendees: $175/person

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards: CHMC Foundation is a CFP Board CE Sponsor. A total of four (4) CFP Board CE hours may be earned for successful completion of this course.
California Board of Accountancy: Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for CPAs through the CBA are self-reported. This course follows the provider requirements outlined in California Code of Regulations sections 88.1 and 88.2
California State Bar: MCLE credit approval for four (4) hours is pending.
