Hailed by The New York Times as a “quartet with sunny energy and grunge-band grit,” the award-winning Calidore String Quartet will explore the evolution of the genre from Mozart's delightfully inventive String Quartet K.V. 428 dedicated to Haydn and Beethoven's groundbreaking "Razumovsky" String Quartet Op. 59, No. 1, to the Third String Quartet by the Oscar-winning Viennese composer Erich Korngold who created this dazzling work filled with anticipation of Allied Victory in 1945 Hollywood using several melodies from his favorite film scores.
Single tickets are $35, $30 for seniors, $5 for college students and FREE for K-12 school-age students with a $10 ticket available for one accompanying adult. For tickets, please call 717 221-9599, at https://calidore24.eventbrite.com or https://www.marketsquareconcerts.org/concerts or email [email protected].
We hope you will join us for a program exploring evolution of string quartet over its illustrious three hundred years of history
