Cafe Veritas presents Jonathan Byrd, Headlining, with opener Fred Vine
North Carolina based Jonathan Byrd has performed concerts across the country and internationally for 20 years. Grayson Curran of The Independent describes "Jonathan Byrd (as swinging) from the roots of American music...He jumps between gutbucket blues and tender ballads, empathetic work laments and sympathetic character studies...Byrd shares the often-missed, always poignant tales of the small people that make this world such a big place.” He is a multi-awarded songwriter who the Chicago Tribune lists as one of the top 50 songwriters of the past 50 years." His song, "The Ballad of Larry" has been listed a "Top Rated Song" by Americana-UK. His passion recently is to teach others how to write great songs, but we are so happy that he will be performing his own many great ones for us.
