By George! a tribute to George Harrison at the Pawtucket Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre, 7/26 at 6PM
By George is New England’s one and only George Harrison cover band! We perform music from all eras of his career: his solo music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s; his work with the supergroup Traveling Wilburys; songs that he wrote for other artists such as Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, Ringo Starr, and others; and of course, his many hits with the Beatles.
By George is led by David Lauria, longtime musician, songwriter, and teacher from the New England area. Lauria, the creative force behind D. J. Lauria Band, Listen Above, and Mt. Hope Music, was honored by Billboard Magazine for his song “Time That I Forgot” in their 7th Annual Song Contest. His album New Old Stock, with By George drummer Jacob Lauria on drums, was released in May.
