BunnyFest: Spring is in the Hare
Visit an annual rabbit habitat and heart some art at BunnyFest, the bash ‘bout bunnies! Tour bunderful artwork in progress, visit with long-eared lapins and embrace creative hip-hop activities.
Make BunnyFest buttons, create BunnyCrafts, don bunny ears and huddle with those who give a whisker about stuff with fluff at the iconic Torpedo Factory Art Center on the Old Town Alexandria waterfront. Mug with Bugs and visit with adoptable rabbits from the Friends of Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary of the Washington D.C./Baltimore area https://www.friendsofrabbits.org.
More than a dozen artists will hoppily herald in springy hares, show and sell cuddle-centric creations. Hands-on free activities include printing, buttonmaking, fabric painting, origami and a rabid rabbit ‘Goodnight Moon’ selfie station!
BunnyFest is from Noon-4 p.m. Sunday, April 6 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, 105 North Union Street, Alexandria, VA. 22314. Street parking is free on Sundays.
