Author and brick expert Will Quam will share his new book, Fire and Clay: How Brick Reveals the Hidden History of Chicago, a remarkable celebration of the humble material that unites this sprawling city. He’ll be joined by Carla Bruni, co-author of Chicago Homes: A Portrait of the City’s Everyday Architecture, to discuss what makes Chicago such a unique and fantastic design city and what it’s like to write about architecture.
