Buckeye Book Camp

Wooster, Ohio – May 9, 2024 – The Buckeye Book Fair is thrilled to announce that it has received a generous grant of $6,000 from the Wayne County Community Foundation to support its groundbreaking Buckeye Book Camp project. The Buckeye Book Camp is a one-of-a-kind literary experience tailored for 3rd through 8th grade students, combining intensive learning with creative exploration. Set to take place from July 22 to July 28, 2024, the camp aims to empower young minds, nurture a love for reading, and develop essential literacy skills. Led by published authors, illustrators, agents, and editors, including Jerzy Drozd and Lillian Mazeika, the Buckeye Book Camp promises a transformative journey for participants. Through workshops, interactive sessions, and hands-on activities, students will delve into the world of literature, unlocking their potential as readers, writers, and thinkers. Registration for the Buckeye Book Camp opens on May 15, 2024, with a tuition fee of $180. Before and after-care services will also be available, providing flexibility for parents and guardians.
