Broom Making 2: Besom Broom
Building on the skills from the introduction to broom-making workshop, in this workshop students will make a bulkier broom that can be used for sweeping the floor. Students will become more comfortable working with a larger project, and learn how to stitch a broom flat, like a traditional shaker-style broom.
Students taking this course are strongly encouraged to complete the introduction course from the afternoon session, or previously offered- as these skills build on those covered in the intro/cobwebber broom workshop.
Students are also invited to bring their own stick/handle for this floor sweeper- otherwise a variety of choices will be offered.
