Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CABVI) and Northside Distilling Co. will launch CABVI’s limited-edition Braille Bourbon at an event on September 15. The release of this special 115-proof bourbon honors 115 years of CABVI’s impact promoting inclusion for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The Braille Bourbon bottle features a signature braille label, and each bottle is paired with a commemorative Rookwood Pottery decanter. Braille Bourbon tasting notes feature subtle caramel and vanilla from the oak, balanced by the corn-forward mash bill’s natural sweetness and a distinctive rye-spice finish. The launch event at Northside Distilling will include food from Schmidt’s Food Truck, a live broadcast with Jon Jon from KISS 107.1, and a chance to purchase one of just 115 Braille Bourbon bottles produced. A portion of every purchase will support CABVI services that empower individuals adapting to vision loss.
