DiTondo and Read It & Eat are thrilled to welcome Melissa Pellegrino and Matthew Scialabba to present their newly released cookbook LIDO: Recipes and Stories from Italy's Beach Clubs.
The evening will consist of a welcome spritz followed by a four-course menu featuring recipes from the book interpreted by Chef Fabio Consonni and wine pairings curated by Sommelier Rita Di Tondo.
There will be live music by Son BoriKau, a popular Buffalo-based Latin band, from 6:30-9:30pm.
Join us as we bring Italy's beach bar vibes to Buffalo for one more summer hurrah! Every guest will have the chance to meet the authors and receive a special dedication in their cookbook.
About the Book: LIDO: Recipes and Stories from Italy's Beach Clubs
Lido is a transporting exploration of the history, culture, and food of Italian beach clubs. Part 1 invites you to the clubs along the whole of the Italian coast. Part 2 shares over 60 recipes from apperitivi to dolci. Living la dolce vita has never been easier with recipes for Pinsa with Ricotta and Mortadella, Lobster Risotto, Puglian Brushette with Marinated Summer Squash, and Pavlova with Fior Di Latte Cream.
